Which one do you prefer and why?
Primarily cultivated in the southern Peloponnese, the Koroneiki olive variety delivers a healthy punch. Indeed, this small olive has a very high level of antioxidants (phenols and polyphenols), giving the FRESKO Koroneiki a robust fruity flavor with a bold and peppery finish. It is characterized by aromas of freshly cut grass, tomato, artichoke and almond.
Balanced and excellent for pairing with almost any dish, the FRESKO Koroneiki extra virgin olive oil is the perfect complement to elevate salads, seafood, pasta, steamed or grilled vegetables and cheeses.
The Mavrolia olives are a local variety from the Pylos region in the southwest of the Peloponnese. The aromas of the FRESKO Mavrolia are characterized by notes of ripe fruits, almonds and butter. Thanks to its organoleptic and aromatic profile, the FRESKO Mavrolia is particularly suitable for dessert preparation. It is an essential ingredient in petimezopita (Πετιμεζόπιτα), a traditional Greek sweet bread.
